With the rapid growth of artificial intelligence and its ever-growing presence in our daily lives, it is important to reflect on the potential ethical dilemmas that may arise in the future related to the use of this technology. Essentially, artificial intelligence will change the way we make decisions, presenting us with new situations and risks never seen before.

Considering this new global scenario, IE University Publishing has developed, in collaboration with Ted Lechterman, a professor of ethics at IE University, a new VR immersive material: The Ethical Crossroads of Emerging Technologies.

In this new simulator, the student will face two dilemmas related to the implementation of artificial intelligence - one related to a legal process and the other to a war conflict. In each case, students will be immersed in an emotional experience where they will play an active role in making decisions with moral and ethical implications, taking into account all the relevant stakeholders. These decisions and their respective consequences will be discussed later in the classroom, allowing students to share different perspectives and exchange ideas.

In essence, this simulator aims to raise awareness about the ethical and moral implications of different applications and contexts of artificial intelligence through first-person experimentation and decision-making using virtual reality.
