Description
This simulation emulates a supply chain that includes factory, wholesaler, distributor and retailer. The factory elaborates the product with an input commodity that, for the purpose of the simulation, is considered to be 100 available. The units of the product are transported to the wholesaler, who sends the goods to the distributor and is finally delivered to the retailer. The same thing happens with the orders but with an inverse direction. The retailer receives a demand which is unknown beforehand.
The game is played simultaneously and by turns. The orders received by each member of the supply chain become their demand for each turn. Each of the roles has the possibility of having either inventory or backorder, both of which imply a cost and the objective is to minimize such a cost.
