The ethical crossroads of emerging technologies” leverages the emotional immersion of virtual reality to place the learner in positions where choosing to implement technology has crucial ethical ramifications. The material will consist of two dilemmas told through first-person storytelling and recorded using 360 videos, each involving a new technology, where the student will choose between two options. The consequences that follow each decision in the narrative showcase the impact that ethics has when implementing these technologies.
Some of the ethical dilemmas the learner navigates through are:

• The systematic problems that arise from the implementation of algorithms in the legal system.
• The complications of using AI powered weapons in war.
• The struggle between personal privacy and public safety.

The two experiences will be available through a common menu, which can be expanded in the future, by using Oculus Quest gear.
