These were some of the questions that inspired IE University and the international Business Domain Expert of IoT and adjunct faculty at IE - Dimitrios Spiliopoulos to collaborate and build a modern and interactive tutorial about the Internet of Things, targeting from universities, business schools’ students and professors to companies and cities that want to introduce their students and employees to the transformative technology of IoT and analytics.

This multimedia tutorial acts as the first contact that many students will have into the world of Internet of Things (IoT). In today’s ever-changing business environment, it is vital to be up-to-speed with one of the most disruptive technologies, the Internet of Things that enables the transformation of different sectors, companies and cities. This multimedia tutorial can give the knowledge base of IoT to the students, so the professors can later discuss with the students the topics of their domain which are influenced by IoT.

This interactive learning material has the most modern and interactive tools in education in order to create 60 minutes of fun and engaging content about IoT. From the beginning of the multimedia tutorial, there is a virtual character, Maria, who accompanies the students until the end of their learning journey, making the learning experience more interesting and engaging. In addition to the text and Maria, students will find interactive tools, videos, illustrations, buttons and other methods to stimulate their interest. Students end the tutorial by completing the Quiz ‘Test Your IoT Knowledge’ so they can test their learnings and enhance their knowledge.

The author of this interactive learning material, Dimitrios Spiliopoulos, is an Adjunct Professor of IoT in the MBA of IE Business School as well as Business Consultant, Trainer and Speaker about IoT.
