We have some fantastic news to share! In the last few months, two of IE’s multimedia cases have won important international awards. The Economic Policy Simulator by Gayle Allard has been awarded Winner of the MERLOT Award for Exemplary Online Learning Resources – MERLOT Classics 2015, in the category of Business. This award was presented at a major conference in the U.S. The MERLOT (Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching) catalogue includes more than 40,000 multimedia materials from prestigious universities around the world.
This Simulator allows students to put into practice various economic policies and see their future impact on the main macroeconomic indicators. The simulation has been used at IE by more than 6,000 students.
The second award goes to the Rosa Vañó and Castillo de Canena multimedia case. This won the 2014 EFMD Case Writing Competition under the category of Euro-Mediterranean Managerial Practices and Issues. The authors of the case are IE Professors Rosario Silva and Custodia Cabanas. This case study tells the story of the gourmet olive oil company Castillo de Canena and highlights the professional career developments of its protagonists. This material is used regularly in the Organizational Behavior courses at IE Business School, as well as in other schools, since it is one of the materials that Harvard Business Publishing is distributing through its platform.
We take this opportunity to once again congratulate Professors Gayle, Rosario and Custodia!
