Description
Digital Well-being is a course designed to develop awareness and practices that help us leverage technology to enhance our lives, while also fostering human flourishing, connection, innovation, and productivity.
Technological advances have transformed the way we live, work, and communicate, becoming omnipresent in our daily lives. These shifts have made movement, connection, and communication more accessible. However, data shows that our personal habits—both at work and in life—can contribute to increased isolation, reduced empathy, and diminished self-awareness.
This course, developed by the Center for Health and Well-being at IE University, takes a proactive approach to cultivating awareness and applying scientific insights to develop healthy practices that support brain function, relationships, and productivity through balanced technology use. We will explore learning at an individual level while also reflecting on the digital culture we are collectively shaping. As technology becomes ever more integral to life, we aim to foster greater appreciation, learning, perspective, and balance in our digital well-being.
